Chattanooga Surgery Clerkship (SUR-30000)
The Chattanooga Surgery Clerkship is an 8-week clinical experience during which students participate in the breadth of surgery.
The clerkship is organized into four components with students spending 8-10 weekdays on each of the following: General Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Acute Care Service, and Trauma Services.
Orientation to the clerkship is given the first day of the rotation. This includes a formal introduction by the Clerkship Director, the Clerkship Coordinator, and the Surgical Resident Representative. Call schedules and duties may vary according to the rotation but will be clearly delineated at the start of each rotation.
More information about UTHSC surgery clerkships is available on the UTHSC College of Medicine-Memphis Surgery Clerkship page.
