Suture Technician Program

The Suture Technician Program is a longstanding and highly selective initiative that serves the Elvis Presley Trauma Center—one of the busiest Level I trauma centers in the nation.

Clerkships and Acting Internships

Third-year students may explore emergency medicine through a 2-week career exploration while fourth-year students are offered a junior internship through a 4-week rotation.

Visiting Students Clinical Rotation

This clinical rotation for visiting students will take place at both Methodist University Hospital and Baptist Memorial Hospital. Dates of the rotation are set by the University and are not flexible.

Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG)

A student-run, faculty supported organization, EMIG exposes students to Emergency Medicine though meetings, conferences, and special activities to improve their knowledge base and the skill set needed for EM.Â
