The TN Population Health Consortium Distinguished Visiting Professor


Our annual Distinguished Visiting Professor lecture series was launched in 2023 with a lecture by , MD, PhD, Director of the Hutchinson Institute for Cancer Outcomes Research (HICOR) at Fred Hutch Cancer Center, University of Washington. His presentation was entitled “Beyond Healthcare: What do Health Systems Owe Their Patients?” Co-sponsored by the Office of Research and the Center for Cancer Research. Our monthly Research Conferences are presented throughout the academic year withCME credit availableto attendees.

This monthly series includes presentations of successful and sustainable pragmatic interventional designs or programs with the greatest implications for improving population health. The conferences also provide a forum for exchanging research ideas and presenting preliminary work, particularly by junior faculty, and for facilitating growth and collaboration in population health and translational research.

The series is a partnership of the Consortium, the UT Health Science Center College of Nursing Department of Community and Population Health, and the UT Health Science Center College of Medicine Departments of Preventive Medicine and Medicine. Research Conferences are available via Zoom or in person.
